Heartache

Heartache T-shirt - H&M
Lace Leggings - River Island
Knee High Socks - Primark
Boots - River Island

Sorry for the lack of pictures for this post! The pictures turned out really dark and blurred but thankfully the three pictures that I have do this lovely outfit some justice! Notice anything different about me? I have another piercing! I got a medusa piercing last week and it hurt like fuck but look at how pretty and feminine it looks! For now I'm stuck with a boring old stud until it heals properly and then I can change it to a beautiful sparkling diamond. Keep tuned for a post on mine and Leah's medusa piercing experience that sound be up later this week on the blog.

Anyway, enough about that for now and onto the outfit! I love wearing over sized shirts as dresses because it looks so cool and edgy but I also feel comfy and it doesn't take much effort to style. I love the logo on this shirt, it says 'heartache' and I love the way it looks like it's spelled with flames. Thank god this shirt has sleeves though as I was so cold when we took these pictures!  I can't believe that this is from H&M as I've seen lots of similar t-shirts like this in topshop but so much more expensive!

Elegant Stargirl

Blouse - Boohoo
Sliver Vest Top - Boohoo
Metallic Silver Skirt - Boohoo
Knee High Socks - Primark
Boots - River Island

I just wanted to say that getting these photos was a nightmare in this absolutely freezing cold weather! Yeah, I know it's January and it's meant to be cold but this is unreal! I'm even getting cold wearing my onesie at night...yeah, I thought that was impossible too! So, onto the outfit now and I'm loving black and silver combinations as you can tell from this outfit of the day!

There is something so beautiful, stylish and super elegant about black lace blouses. This one in particular is fast becoming one of my favourites! I don't know why but the buttons and details on the front of this blouse really gives off a Japanese vibe! I love it, it looks unique and vintage/gothic at the same time. You can either dress this top up or turn this blouse into a casual yet chic outfit - what more could you want?

I am obsessed with this metallic silver Boohoo skirt although it's not one of my best purchases. It looks absolutely gorgeous and I love the different length of the skirt but the material feels flimsy and it even got a rip in the back the minute I put it on! I wasn't impressed. I think I'll be keeping this skirt for special occasions (or more outfit posts)!

Distressed Jumper

Distressed Jumper - Boohoo
Metallic Silver Shorts - ASOS
Knee High Socks - Primark
Creepers - River Island

I feel absolutely amazing in this distressed jumper! This jumper is right up my street as it's got a rock chick vibe and punky/goth look to it as well. I haven't got anything like this in my wardrobe right now so I was so pleased when Leah gave it to me as an early Birthday present. If you are a regular reader of Cyber Mermaids, you will know by now that our favourite shop in the whole entire world is Boohoo so your right in guessing that this fantabulous jumper is from also from Boohoo too! The quality of the jumper is amazing so I think I'll have this for years as it's quite thick material! I paired my metallic silver runner shorts from ASOS with this outfit. I can't wait to wear this look to a few gigs as I will be warm but I've also got a super amazing edgy outfit to show off in!

What do you guys think of the distressed look?

Masquerade CZ Vamp Mask Silver Bracelet

A short but sweet blog post for today! This post is dedicated to my new beloved Vamp London Masquerade Mask bracelet. I decided to treat myself to this lovely piece of jewellery after spotting it on the Wongs website. I have been feeling so low lately and so far, 2017 hasn't had the best start at all. I will probably write a blog post soon on how I'm feeling and why but I can't write it right now as my emotions are just everywhere!

Anyway, I spotted this beautiful bracelet and decided to treat myself. I wanted something that I could keep for years to come and make a fashion statement with. Jewellery is a big part of my outfits and I have lots of rings and necklaces but for some reason, no bracelets whatsoever! This needed to change ASAP. Made out of sterling silver and featuring 53 round cubic zirconia, it couldn't get anymore beautiful. The mask charm is just gorgeous and so different. I have never saw a little mask charm like this one before so I might have to get the matching necklace too! This cost £70 which I didn't mind spending as I was in need of a pick me up and something beautiful! You can also get this is the colours yellow gold or rose gold!

Dream It Believe It

Velvet Dress - Primark
Knee High Socks - Primark
Socks - H & M
Suede Boots - Topshop

Do you see this super duper stylish, really cosy, ultra beautiful deep emerald green velvet sweat shirt dress? You'll never guess how much it cost. I'll just let you know because this is one of the best bargains I've ever came across and you'd be seriously missing out if you didn't rush down to Primark to find it or similar. This gem of a dress was just £3! Yes, you read that right. I absolutely adore the style of it. You know when you get an amazing over sized jumper and you never want to take it off ever again because you feel so comfy? Well, this is how I feel about this dress! It's so warm but so bloody gorgeous at the same time. I love the colour too, I don't think I have anything green in my wardrobe so this makes a really pleasant change from black! I tried to match my eye makeup to the dress using my Alice Through The Looking glass palette from Urban Decay.

''Dream It, Believe It''

I paired this sweater dress with my Marilyn Manson esque platform boots. I feel so tall when I wear these Topshop boots. It feels bizarre being in platforms because I usually feel like the shortest girl ever which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it's good to have height on some days! The platform heel makes these boots so much easier to walk in too which is always a plus.

TGI Friday on a Wednesday

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing great! Today we have got a bit of a different post for you all - it's all about our lovely day out to TGI Fridays on the 18th January. What's the occasion you may ask? Me and my lovely Matt have been together for a whole entire year! It feels so much longer because we've had so many memories together already but here is to many many more happy years causing chaos! I love you sooooo much Matty!
Being a twin sister to Rachel is such an incredible, special bond and Matt knows this more than anyone. He has absolutely no problem with going on the odd date or two with both me and Rach because he knows that me an Rachel especially are so close. He even bought us both Pandora birthstone rings for Christmas! Sweetheart.

Three is never a crowd and I was SO happy when the three of us all went to TGI Fridays for mine and Matt's anniversary. I was so excited to eat there because I've only ever been once before with Matt and it was incredible - Hot dogs are recommended, people! This time was no different. All three of us decided to get the classic American burger that came with crispy french fries - it was so lovely! I ate ever single bit of it - I nearly burst after our Rocky Road ice cream sundae! Because it's our birthday on the 7th February, we got a voucher to get our deserts free and that's exactly what we did. However, I'd wouldn't mind at all paying for the deserts because they were so delicious, creamy and sooo very indulgent. Mmmmm. TGI Fridays gets a massive thumbs up from us. I love the American feel of the whole place and the decor adds so much of a of American Diner vibe.

Pretty

Slogan Dress - River Island
Velvet Jacket - Primark
Heartagram/HIM Beanie - Ebay
Knee High Socks - Primark
Creepers - River Island + DIY Studs

Hats off to the absolutely incredible River Island sale this year. River Island have always had amazing sales -when you buy a coat full price and it goes down by over £20, major face palm. It really does make you sick! Or even worse, when ALL of your Christmas clothes go in the sale. Yep, we've all been there. Problems aside, I've especially had amazing luck this time around in the sales as you can see by this dreamy dress. I love a good slogan (who doesn't?) and what's better than wait for it; a silver metallic slogan. Yes, that's right. The word ''pretty' is written in rock inspired font across the front of this dress and I just bloody love it. I think it adds some really lovely focal detail to an otherwise classic black dress. Also, I love the little metal loops that decorate the bottom - it really adds an edge. I think it looks really rock chick.

Keeping in with my rock inspired outfit, I wore my beloved HIM beanie heartagram hat. I don't have this hat off of my head to be honest. It goes with all my clothes and oh my god - soooo warm. I need all the warmth I can get at the moment. I am actually longing for Spring already but at least in the meantime I can keep super cosy with stylish/rock beanies, velvet jackets and knee high socks.

Did you have any luck in the sales this year?

Blue Velvet

Velvet Jacket - Primark
Crushed Velvet Jumpsuit & Choker - Boohoo
Knee High Socks - Primark
Creepers - River Island + DIY Studs

"She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet was the night
Softer than satin was the light
From the stars"

I love the song 'Blue Velvet' especially Lana Del Rey's version of the song. This stunning royal blue colour is so perfect for this crushed velvet jumpsuit. Can you guys believe that this gorgeous jumpsuit is only £10?! Boohoo truly is the best shop at the moment with the most amazing sales! Because of the freezing weather I decided to add my velvet black jacket from Primark, it didn't really add warmth though, I'm still freezing my tits off in these photographs haha! This jacket is probably my best buy from 2016 and I can see myself wearing this all year long this year too!

I just adore this outfit and I also love the super cute choker that also came as part of the jumpsuit! I love it when outfits come with accessories! My creepers are from River Island and my sweet mummy added some pointed silver studs to personalize them. I love adding band patches and studs to my plain boring clothes! Me and Rach will be doing DIY/personalized outfit posts soon so stay tuned!

KAT VON D DUPE | Makeup Revolution Shade And Light Eyeshadow Palette

The Kat Von D Shade and Light eye shadow palette has been something I've been desperate to get my hands on. Containing 12 shadows of both contouring (you can contour eyes?!) and highlighting shades, it's certainly a palette that grabbed my attention. If you don't have a spare £36 to spend on 12 eye shadows (!) then fear not! I bring good news. The budget friendly but incredible Makeup Revolution have saved the day and brought out the most amazing dupe to the original Shade and Light. I couldn't believe it when I spotted this in Superdrug, at £8 it's a real bargain and I couldn't get over how similar the shades where - they're practically identical! All 12 shades look very close to Kat Von D's £36 version. The question is, is it as good as it looks?

I was a little worried it wasn't going to be as pigmented. All the colours are quite natural and subtle - very unlike my usual shades but I had absolutely no need to worry because the colour pay off is just beautiful. I applied the shadows to my eyes using the double ended brush that came with the palette. It's actually a really good quality brush which pleasantly surprised me. The look I'm wearing is the four shades at the end. I love that they're very warm based, a brown/ red eye is always a firm favourite makeup look of mine. I don't use any primer on my eyelids and this product stays put for hours and looks flawless at the end of the day! I think this palette is going to gorgeous on all skin tones which is always a great thing.

Although getting the Kat Von D Shade & Light would be lovely, I'm more than happy to use Makeup Revolutions incredible dupe offering which gets a massive thumbs up from me! I can't wait to experiment with all of the looks I can create with this palette which I think will look beautiful throughout all of the year.

Would you invest in Shade & Light or buy the dupe?
