A little belated Valentines post but never mind, this look is too gorgeous not to share! We both hope everyone had a fun Valentine's day. If you're not into all the lovey-dovey crap then this makeup is most definitely for you.
So, if you read our Valentines makeup look you will notice that we used all the same makeup products as the last look. We regularly use both high end and drug store makeup so it's a nice mix of both.

The eyes are definitely the focal point of this whole entire look. Rachel created this by using our recently gifted Naked Smokey Palette - which is absolutely stunning for dark looks! So definitely right up our street as two goth girls. You can rock this look with either a dark lip for extra boldness or a nude lip for a more understated look.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey everyone, Valentines day is fast approaching and I'll use any excuse to do a themed make up look! This is my own twist on a romantic look. Rachel's anti-valentine day makeup look will be getting posted later this week so keep your eyes peeled for that!

I done my usual base routine, nothing too fancy but I always love using a lot of highlighter to get a lovely glow - desperately wanting to be a glowy unicorn is easy with my new found love, Barry M Liquid Chrome Drops. I just mix it in with my foundation and it looks gorgeous.

For my eyes, I used a blusher palatte to get a really pink, lovely romatic look. I love it! I used some reds and a purple in my crease from my UD Alice in Wonderland palette just to darken it up a little. I wont say too much on the mascara and eyeliner as we have in-depth reviews coming up on them!

To finish the look I used a classic, sexy red lip. I love this lipstick but it does seem to crack a little through out the day and wears off around the middle of my lip as the bottom photo shows -arghh! Still, absolutely gorgeous and is the perfect finishing touch.

What are you up to this Valentines?

Makeup We Got For Our 21st Birthday

It was our 21st birthday on the 7th! I still can't believe we're 21, I still feel like a baby. Anyway, we were really lucky to get some amazing makeup this year from our lovely mum and dad (thanks guys!)

So first up is the Kat Von D Basket Case Anti- Precision Pencil Eyeliner - I actually couldn't believe it when I opened this present... a Kat Von D eyeliner and not just any eyeliner, it's the basket case liner that she's only just released in collaboration with Billy Joe who is the lead singer of Green Day! I have always wanted a Kat Von D liner so I was so excited to try this out. As you can imagine, the pigment is super intense and it stays put all day. I won't go into too much detail as there will be a full review on this liner in a few days to come so stay tuned! I 100% recommend this amazing eyeliner to any eyeliner-aholic!

If you read our blog regularly you would know that me and leah are absolutely obsessed with Urban Decay so we were so excited to see that we got Urban Decay's All Nighter Waterproof Full-Coverage Concealer! We live for Urban Decay palettes and lipsticks but we have never tried any base products from UD so I was really interested to see if I loved it as much as their eyeshadows. This is full coverage which I love in a concealer and it applies so flawlessly. I just couldn't ask for more from this concealer, it's bae.

I was so shocked when I saw that we got Benefit's BADgal BANG Mascara! All I can say is wow. I saw so much hype around this mascara when it was released recently and I can honestly say myself that it's worth the hype! Stay tuned for a full review on this amazing mascara next week!

Me and Leah love a good highlight so I was so happy that mum had got us a highlighter. The one we got was Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops. You only need a few drops and you're glowing like a mystical creature, we love it! Leah  got me Urban Decay 'vice' Metallised Lipstick in the shade 'Amulet'. It's such a pretty pink shimmering shade and I absolutely adore it.

To pretty up my nails I also got Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds in 'Hot Metal Love' and a clear top and base coat. Hot Metal Love is such a beautiful colour that reminds me a space and galaxies. The 60 Seconds range will always be my go to for nail polishes.

WOW. I was so shook when I saw that we had got Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eye Shadow Palette! I can't even describe how amazing this palette is! I was so happy that we got a guide in the palette too to give us step by step instructions on how to create four perfect smoky eye looks. There will also be a single post dedicated to this palette really soon because come on, this palette deserves it's own post!

I'm in love with The Body Shop and was so happy that I got a two lip butters that smells delicious and helps hydrate my lips for hours. Both of the hand creams are amazing too and I raved about the TBS hand creams a few days ago in our January Favourites post!
That brings us to the end of this post and I just want to thank my mum and dad again for making us have the best 21 birthday ever. I actually think it was my best ever birthday because it was just a day of relaxing, having fun, drinking wine and eating our amazing unicorn cake! Also thanks to our big sister Caz and Eve for making our day amazing too. Thanks for the presents guys!

What do you guys think of our birthday makeup for our 21st?
Love Rachel x

January Favourites 2018

One of my favourite posts to write on the blog is monthly favourites! I always find that January is always a easy month to find favourites because of Christmas the month before. Get ready because this post is full of makeup, mainly Urban Decay!

Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette - One word; wow. We got this Urban Decay palette for Christmas last month and I think I've used it everyday since! The shades are just beautiful. From vibrant pinks and reds to unusual greens and golds, this palette has got a wide variety of shades. The pigment is absolutely amazing which you would expect from a high end brand like UD. The staying power is also amazing with lots of shimmer and sparkle. The packaging is beautiful and I always love it when my palettes come with a big mirror! I was surprised that it didn't come with the usual Urban Decay eyeshadow brush that usually comes with the Naked palettes but the amount of shades makes up for the lack of the brush. It's pricey but definitely worth the price in my opinion!
Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Highlighter in Sin - This was another present from Christmas and I was so excited to try it because it's been on my wishlist for ages now! This shade is called Sin which is a beautiful pretty shimmery shade but also quite natural. This highlighter applies so well and lasts for so long on my face. The finish is shimmery and not glittery so it's a nice natural glow. For me, highlighter is essential for my makeup looks so this one will definitely be in my makeup stash for a while! The packaging is amazing with the inside of the lid looking like a fishnet pattern. There's no mirror or brush but this highlighter is so special so don't let that put you off!
The Body Shop Frosted Plum Hand Cream - I'm so upset that this hand cream was limited edition for Christmas. The smell of this hand cream is absolutely delicious and makes my hands so soft! It's not greasy like many hand creams and sinks right into my skin. I'm in love with this product and will have to replace it with another Body Shop hand cream when it runs out!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Lip Balm - I suffer with really dry lips especially in the winter but this lip balm has made my lips soooo soft. It's so moisturising and leaves my lips feeling smooth and hydrated all day. This hasn't got a scent to it either so it's for those gals and boys that hate fruity scents. This is also an SPF of 15 which is amazing and will be perfect to take away on holiday in the summer!
Urban Decay Comfort Matte Vice Lipstick in 1993 - I am OBSESSED with this lipstick. The minute I saw the shade 1993 I just needed to have it in my collection. The colour is a natural nude and a typical 90s shade lipstick. This shade just finishes of any makeup look and it looks so grunge. It looks perfect with or without makeup. The staying power is amazing and it actually stays on my lips all day long! The pigment is also amazing and can be built up if you wanted it to look less natural. I took a swatch of the lipstick on my lips so you guys can see how it looks but honestly you should try this lipstick and see how amazing it is yourself!
Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine in Rapid Ruby - You can't beat a red nail polish. I bought this on a whim in boots and I'm so glad I did. The Rimmel 60 seconds range has always been one of my favourite nail polish ranges ever because the colours are so gorgeous and pigmented. Two layers of this polish and my nails are dry so fast which is a bonus!

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation in Vanilla - This is my go to foundation! The colour is a light shade which suits my skin perfectly. It's a full coverage foundation but at the same time my skin can breathe and it doesn't feel cakey at all. It's a matte finish so my skin doesn't get oily as much as it usually does which makes me feel so much better about my skin. I love this foundation and can see myself buying it over and over again.
Catwalk by Tigi Camera Ready Spray - I got this for Christmas and I'm in love. I've always been a fan of Tigi shampoos and conditioners so I was so excited to try this spray. I spritz this on my hair after blow drying and my hair is left feeling super soft, lightweight with an amazing shine. I honestly love this spray and will definitely be buying it again when it runs out!

So, that's our January favourites of 2018! Are these some of your favourite products too?

NYX Lid Lingerie in the Shades 'Whimsy', 'Evening Spell' and 'Morning Sky'.

I'm pretty certain that everyone has heard of NXY's infamous Lip Lingerie liquid lipsticks, right? The hype around the Lip Lingerie line insane. But did you know that NXY have a Lingerie range out specifically for your eyes?! I know, amazing! Although the lip range is based on the perfect nude shade for every skin tone, the Lid Lingerie offers many exciting, pearly and shimmery shades to chose from.
Evening Spell
Whimsy

At first, I didn't really know if I was going to like the formula as I mainly stick to plain old powder eye shadows. The idea of a liquid eye shadow seemed a little daunting at first, what if it didn't blend and I looked like a clown?! Despite being apprehensive, I took the plunge and bought myself three gorgeous shades.  Buying these has been one the best make- up decision I've made in a while! These are my all time favourite eyeshadows now! They're super easy to blend out with a makeup brush, they don't crease at all and simply look stunning.

'Evening Spell' is my classic go-to shade. I love a gorgeous deep red colour on my eyes for a grungy smokey eye and Evening Spell is just that! All of the Lid Lingerie's are pearly and shimmery and personally I really like that. It's really pigmented and stays put for hours!

'Morning Sky' is just a gorgeous sea foam green shade and I use this whenever I want something different. I can't put into words how pretty the colour is, just look at it! It's unlike anything else I have in my collection.

'Whimsy' is an absolutely gorgeous dark pink, shimmery shade and as with 'Morning Sky', it's a colour that stands out in my make up stash!

So as you can tell by this review I am over the moon with NYX Lid Lingeries! I do apologize for not having swatches of the shades on my eyes! I was just desperate to get this post up on the blog. If you do want to see swatches though, the good news is that there are loads of swatches online!

Summery: These liquid shadows make a quick and easy, effortless makeup look! Perfect for day or night.

Mini Collection Haul

Hi everyone, we have a lovely Spring inspired beauty haul for you all today. It's only a small haul but it was a very successful one! Collection has always been one of my high street brands. I find that Collection tends to go unnoticed because it's so cheap and with other brands like Maybelline and L'Oreal to compete with it can be hard for a brand to compare. However, I've picked up these bargain buys from Collection and I have to say that they're some of the best products I've bought for a while!

Collection Primed and Ready Correct and Conceal Palette - This small and compact palette caught my eye because how many new colour correcting palettes have been released lately?! there is so much choice! I've never really colour corrected before and I think it can be a bit overwhelming to pick up a palette with 6 shades of greens, lilacs and oranges! But I was curious and this palette only has two colour correcting shades, one setting powder and a normal skin coloured concealer. Green neutralizes redness and blemishes while the lilac corrects yellow tones. This was so cheap at only £3.99! But it really works! and having used Collection's infamous concealer - I had high hopes for the colour correcting shades and it's surpassed all my expectations. It's incredible! I urge anyone who is new to colour correcting to get this palette - it's already a staple of mine! It brightens my whole face up and stays put all day.

Collection Primed and Ready Mattifying Pore Minimiser Face Primer - This has witch hazel in it and that alone sold this primer to me. Witch Hazel helps prevent blemishes and is a skin savior in my eyes. What's not to like about that? This primer is amazing and keeps my make up on all day long. It makes my skin so smooth while blurring out imperfections. It doesn't feel greasy, makes my skin matte all day long and does exactly what it says on the bottle. A definite must-have!

Collection Primed and Ready Invisible Setting Powder - A good face powder is a stable in my makeup routine. They're just ready handy to have through out the day and during the warmer months powders keep shiny skin at bay. I got this one because it has Witch Hazel in just like the primer and it's also translucent which I really like. I only need to put this powder on after doing my base makeup and I find that I don't need to touch up through out the day - even with my oily skin! At only £3.99, I'll be getting this again.

Collection Colour Lash Clear Mascara - I don't use this as a mascara because I absolutely love to put this on my eyebrows to keep them in place. I hate it when my brows look messy! But this product has seen an end to my untamed eyebrows. I think that a clear mascara is better than an actual eyebrow gel. Have you guys noticed eyebrow gels come in the smallest tubes ever? I ain't got time for that. At just £1.99 - this is an absolute bargain! This is my new eyebrow go - to so go and check it out!

Collection 7 Day Wear Nail Polish in Touch of Pink - Guys. It's Spring. I needed a lovely light pink nail polish and I found it in this one. It's the most gorgeous baby pink colour. I did need a few coats of this polish for an opaque finish but it hasn't chipped at all - even with my guitar playing! I recommend this shade to everyone and Collection nail polishes in general are incredible!

As you can tell from reading this post that me and Rachel are massive fans of Collection makeup. Are you a fan of their products too? Let us know!

Mini Boots Haul | L'Oreal and Maybelline Products

Hello everyone, today started out a nightmare to say the least! Our two new Russian dwarf hamsters were fighting like crazy! Lana is crazy and had Luna pinned down, attacking her relentlessly. We're going to have to take Lana back to the pet shop, there is no other option. Luna is a sweet little girl that wouldn't ever hurt another hamster, very much the opposite to mad ball Lana. Also, Our dog Heidi won't stop crying because shes obsessed with the hamsters! Oh my goodness I feel like I'm going insane with it all.

Back into the world of beauty blogging now - ah, my sanctuary. We have bought three new products this week and all three happen to be new releases! Is there anything better than new makeup? L'Oreal and Maybelline are two of my favourite high street brands so let's just jump straight into the reviews!

L'Oreal Total Cover Foundation -  Foundations are something I look into before purchasing. Rachel has acne prone skin and has recently been very insecure about her skin as she had some breakouts. The last thing Rachel wanted was a foundation that made her skin irritated and made her feel even worse. This foundation is non - comedogenic! If you're not sure what that means, it means that is doesn't block pores so it doesn't cause spots. It's also water based.not oil based so this means it looks more natural and is perfect for people with oily problematic skin We both love a matte finish with heavy coverage that hides both blemishes and dark circles. This is the most perfect foundation ever. It's very thick, like a mousse almost but applies evenly and is a really lovely shade. We got the shade Light shade and it's great for pale skin. I recommend this to anyone that likes matte skin with a flawless finish that lasts all day. This is already my holy grail foundation. It hasn't broken my sensitive skin out and it makes me very so much more confident! Go and buy it now!

L'Oreal Blush Paint -  I've had cream blushers in the past but this lastest offering from L'Oreal had me very intrigued. It's in a stick form and claims to be high impact. All you have to do is simple swipe across your cheeks and rub it in with either a brush or your fingers. This doesn't have a shade name but has a light orange cap that I rather like! I love the colour, it's a lovely peach that I think would suit most skin types. It stays put all day - literally, it won't budge! This blush looks natural and so pretty, looks matte and finishes off any makeup look perfectly. I'll definitely be purchasing this again!

Maybelline Dream Brightening Booster - This claims to brighten under the eyes so I had to get it. I don't know why but I feel like my dark circles have dark circles. I bought this on a whim because why not? it seemed like an interesting product and it definitely hasn't disappointed. The shade is universal so it's suitable for everyone which is something I love about it. It's creamy and blends like a dream. I can always notice a difference when I apply this under my eyes - it definitely brightens. I think this is such a handy product to have if you want to do your makeup in a rush, just to add a little more 'awake' to your look in seconds!

So there we have it! These have been three very successful buys, the star of the bunch is the L'Oreal Total Cover foundation though. Non - comedogenic foundations usually are very expensive in my past experiences so it's amazing that L'Oreal have whipped up this beauty for us! It's a definitely must buy.

Have you bought any recent new make up products?

January Beauty Favourites | 2017

Hey everyone! The first month of 2017 is over already and thank goodness for that! January was such a bad month for me but finally it's February! It's mine and Leah's birthday in a matter of days now and I'm so so so excited! Today's post is starring all of these little beauties that kept me and Leah happy during the miserable month of January! Let's get started!

First up is the amazing Volume Colourist Mascara from Rimmel. Rimmel is always my go to brand when it comes to mascaras so when I saw that this mascara tinted lashes I just needed to have it. Lashes are a big part of my beauty routine these days. There is nothing better than long black fluttering doll-like lashes in my opinion!  This mascara doesn't make my lashes thicker but it definitely makes them longer. If you use this mascara over time, your lashes will gradually get tinted darker and I have already noticed a little difference! What's not to love about this product?
Next we have the NYX Matte Liquid Liner. We are girls that love our eyeliner and this one is so so so perfect! It's ultra black and it applies so easily! The applicator is a small brush and it makes it super easy to achieve the perfect cat eyes. This stays on for hours and it still looks perfect towards the end of the day. It doesn't crumple or crack on the lid like some of my other liquid eyeliners! This is just the best eyeliner ever for all the liquid eyeliner junkies so you just need to get it!

Tigi Bedhead deep conditioner is just a treat to use. It smells just like toffee! I leave this conditioner on for a few minutes and my hair is left super soft and shiny and smelling so delicious! Another bonus is that it also protect hair colour from fading!
Me and Leah have also found a new love; The Body Shop! I have been obsessed with the Hemp range since getting it for Christmas. It smells so so nice and most importantly, my skin feels like silk! The lip oil is also a life saver and I have been applying it to my lips just before bed and I wake up with the softest lips.

The Stay Matte Not Flat foundation is the first one I've used from NYX and I am in love! The coverage is so perfect and the colour is so perfect for my skin tone. I have been feeling so bad about my skin recently but when I wear this foundation I feel so good about my complexion! I also love wearing Rimmel's The only matte lipstick in the shade 'Trendsetter'. This shade is perfect for dark eyes and the nude lips look which has been my go to look recently. The pigment is so amazing and this is the only matte lipstick that I love!

Are these any of your January Favourites too?

KAT VON D DUPE | Makeup Revolution Shade And Light Eyeshadow Palette

The Kat Von D Shade and Light eye shadow palette has been something I've been desperate to get my hands on. Containing 12 shadows of both contouring (you can contour eyes?!) and highlighting shades, it's certainly a palette that grabbed my attention. If you don't have a spare £36 to spend on 12 eye shadows (!) then fear not! I bring good news. The budget friendly but incredible Makeup Revolution have saved the day and brought out the most amazing dupe to the original Shade and Light. I couldn't believe it when I spotted this in Superdrug, at £8 it's a real bargain and I couldn't get over how similar the shades where - they're practically identical! All 12 shades look very close to Kat Von D's £36 version. The question is, is it as good as it looks?

I was a little worried it wasn't going to be as pigmented. All the colours are quite natural and subtle - very unlike my usual shades but I had absolutely no need to worry because the colour pay off is just beautiful. I applied the shadows to my eyes using the double ended brush that came with the palette. It's actually a really good quality brush which pleasantly surprised me. The look I'm wearing is the four shades at the end. I love that they're very warm based, a brown/ red eye is always a firm favourite makeup look of mine. I don't use any primer on my eyelids and this product stays put for hours and looks flawless at the end of the day! I think this palette is going to gorgeous on all skin tones which is always a great thing.

Although getting the Kat Von D Shade & Light would be lovely, I'm more than happy to use Makeup Revolutions incredible dupe offering which gets a massive thumbs up from me! I can't wait to experiment with all of the looks I can create with this palette which I think will look beautiful throughout all of the year.

Would you invest in Shade & Light or buy the dupe?

Urban Decay Vice Comfort Matte Lipstick in Shade Unicorn | Review & Swatches

The lipstick junkie inside of me says you can never have too many lipsticks (although my purse says otherwise)! I'm just gonna put this out there; I think I may have finally find the most perfect lipstick in the whole entire world. Sounds like a bold statement, right? Well, I wholeheartedly mean it! I've never had an Urban Decay lipstick in my life. I thought if I was going to spend £15 on a lipstick it would have to be a well tried and tested beloved MAC lippy.

As two girls with a big love of makeup and not much money, high street makeup is a god send. I love Rimmel and Maybelline but come on, nothing feels as good as getting a new lipstick from a high end brand. The packaging, the siver casing and even the little box this lipstick comes in screams ''luxury.'' And everyone deserves luxury once in a while don't they? After a exceptionally shitty start to 2017 for Rachel, I decided to buy her a present and after months of lusting after the new Urban Decay Vice range, I bit the bullet and bought the shade "Unicorn". The name alone sold it to me but the colour... wow. It's not just a nude pink. It's so special, almost like a coral pink shade but despite it having a lovely colour, this lipstick suits dark eye makeup looks and pale skin flawlessly.

Urban Decay describes this lipstick as a comfort matte and I couldn't agree more. It feels just that, really comfortable on the lips but the staying power is absolutely incredible. I know a lot of people don't like how drying MAC matte lipsticks are but with Urban Decay Vice lipsticks, dry lips is a thing of the past! Paying £15 for a lipstick may be expensive but it's worth every penny if you buy from the Vice range. With over 100 shades, I think I am more than just a little bit tempted to try them all!

Have you tried out Urban Decay's Vice range? Do you like the shade Unicorn?

Face Of The Day | The NUDES Eye Shadow Palette & Jefree Star 'Unicorn Blood' Lipstick

FOUNDATION - Rimmel Stay Matte
CONCEALER - Collection lasting perfection Concealer
HIGHLIGHTER - MUA Undress Your Skin
BLUSH -  Benefit Rockateur
EYESHADOWS - Maybelline The Nudes
EYELINERS - Sleek Dip It & Bourjois Queen Attitude Kohl
LASHES - Maybelline Lash Sensational
EYEBROWS -  Maybelline Brow Fixer
LIPSTICK - Unicorn Blood Jefree Star
FIXING SPRAY - NXY Matte Finishing Spray

Hey everyone, welcome back to another post! Today we have a face of the day. With a new year fast approaching, I wanted to spice up my usual makeup look. Lately I've been obsessed with dark eyes and cat flicks and I've been neglecting my beloved collection of red, dark and gothic lipsticks. I couldn't go without red lipsticks once upon a time (we wanted to be Marilyn Monroe) but things have changed and I'm now a lover of the beauty of a nude lipstick - think 60's makeup!

But I love makeup, the best thing about it is that you can experiment each and everyday with bold and fun looks. So, I decided to pull out all my red lipsticks again and I found Unicorn Blood by Jefree Star! Oh my God, this is the most perfect lipstick ever, not to mention the colour is to die for. Despite my bold lips I couldn't abandon my dark eyes or kitty flicks! Who says you can't do both? Red lips and dark lips for the win.
A recent find has been the absolutely amazing and versatile Maybelline The Nudes palette! for just £10, you get 12 shades that are mixtures of matte and shimmer that create the most perfect smokey eye! I also use this on my eyebrows to fill them in.
I kept my base the same as usual, the Stay Matte foundation and the Collection concealer have been holy grails for years now because they're perfect for pale skin. I'm all about glowing highlighter and my mum bought me a bloggers favourite, MUA undress your skin. Budget friendly and absolutely gorgeous, I definitely recommend it! Brows, Blush and a quick spray of NXY finishing spray (which is UH-AMAZING) and I'm all done!

What is your favourite red lipstick?
