Hello everyone, today started out a nightmare to say the least! Our two new Russian dwarf hamsters were fighting like crazy! Lana is crazy and had Luna pinned down, attacking her relentlessly. We're going to have to take Lana back to the pet shop, there is no other option. Luna is a sweet little girl that wouldn't ever hurt another hamster, very much the opposite to mad ball Lana. Also, Our dog Heidi won't stop crying because shes obsessed with the hamsters! Oh my goodness I feel like I'm going insane with it all.
Back into the world of beauty blogging now - ah, my sanctuary. We have bought three new products this week and all three happen to be new releases! Is there anything better than new makeup? L'Oreal and Maybelline are two of my favourite high street brands so let's just jump straight into the reviews!
L'Oreal Total Cover Foundation - Foundations are something I look into before purchasing. Rachel has acne prone skin and has recently been very insecure about her skin as she had some breakouts. The last thing Rachel wanted was a foundation that made her skin irritated and made her feel even worse. This foundation is non - comedogenic! If you're not sure what that means, it means that is doesn't block pores so it doesn't cause spots. It's also water based.not oil based so this means it looks more natural and is perfect for people with oily problematic skin We both love a matte finish with heavy coverage that hides both blemishes and dark circles. This is the most perfect foundation ever. It's very thick, like a mousse almost but applies evenly and is a really lovely shade. We got the shade Light shade and it's great for pale skin. I recommend this to anyone that likes matte skin with a flawless finish that lasts all day. This is already my holy grail foundation. It hasn't broken my sensitive skin out and it makes me very so much more confident! Go and buy it now!
L'Oreal Blush Paint - I've had cream blushers in the past but this lastest offering from L'Oreal had me very intrigued. It's in a stick form and claims to be high impact. All you have to do is simple swipe across your cheeks and rub it in with either a brush or your fingers. This doesn't have a shade name but has a light orange cap that I rather like! I love the colour, it's a lovely peach that I think would suit most skin types. It stays put all day - literally, it won't budge! This blush looks natural and so pretty, looks matte and finishes off any makeup look perfectly. I'll definitely be purchasing this again!
Maybelline Dream Brightening Booster - This claims to brighten under the eyes so I had to get it. I don't know why but I feel like my dark circles have dark circles. I bought this on a whim because why not? it seemed like an interesting product and it definitely hasn't disappointed. The shade is universal so it's suitable for everyone which is something I love about it. It's creamy and blends like a dream. I can always notice a difference when I apply this under my eyes - it definitely brightens. I think this is such a handy product to have if you want to do your makeup in a rush, just to add a little more 'awake' to your look in seconds!
So there we have it! These have been three very successful buys, the star of the bunch is the L'Oreal Total Cover foundation though. Non - comedogenic foundations usually are very expensive in my past experiences so it's amazing that L'Oreal have whipped up this beauty for us! It's a definitely must buy.
